Equity Ready Program

The aim of the Equity Ready Program is to educate and assist companies in the process of gaining external investment in order to achieve business growth. 

The program consists of workshops and consultations which range from  basic introductions, to very specific workshops. By the end of the program companies should be ready to meet with investors. It is not essential that workshops are completed in a specific order.

The program is applicable both to new companies starting up and to existing companies looking to expand. A company seeking investment must be able to demonstrate their business as an exciting opportunity which will attract investors.  The Equity Ready Program provides education and training to companies so that they present to investors an attractive and viable investment opportunity.

The term “Equity Ready" refers to the point at which a company is ready to trade a share of their business for an investment which will facilitate expansion of the business.  Becoming “Equity Ready” is likely to involve a considerable amount of work in order to present a professional image and ensure that the company can maximize growth upon receipt of investment.  Major investors will receive many applications from companies seeking equity and as many as 70% of these are rejected because they fail to address the investor’s initial screening criteria (Source: Corporation Builders).
